A late model Ford Focus is perfect. Try to avoid one of the early production models as they did not have all their wrinkles ironed out like the later models have. The later cars were named a best bet by consumer reports and major auto publications.

I think the Prizm that's a Corolla clone would be the best value though...

The Prizm and Malibu are the Corolla Clones. I used to own one.
