YACT: Anyone run a bypass oil filter in thier car?

What are some examples of engines that have the oil bypass in the block, and in the filter? Is it primarily a new/old car thing? ie: Do most newer cars have it in the block, or filter?

For some reason, I thought it was always in the filter on newer engines, but maybe that's not the case.

Here's an example, small block Chevy, the filter bypass valve is part of the oil filter fitting that screws into the block.

I looked into it for out Ram 2500 diesel, but the cost of getting the oil analysis done was just as much as changing the oil. Some of the Ram guys go 50k miles between changes, but still change the full flow filter at the regular intervals.

Didn't seem worth the hastle for me, even with my 10qts of Rotella T synthetic

You said that he was incorrect by stating that "its basically relocation of your oil filter to a different part of the car". I said that you were incorrect, because there are two(or more) different styles of bypass filtration, one of which involves relocating the regular spin-on oil filter.
