lol.... pretty stock except that whole supercharger thing

it's not exactly a monster. i think the spec says 150rwhp and my s/c needs an overhaul. so yeah, it doesn't run THAT much faster than stock.

Nice ride. I've been thinking about picking up a miata and doing some basic mods for a weekend car.

And how in the world did you get that for 4K?

Soon to be 🙂

I should be picking it up today... if not, tomorrow.

Great choice, I wanted one in that color. Red was my 2nd choice. Be sure to post pics when you take delivery.

Got it for 4k cuz the windshield was broken, it was due for 90k service, and it was not smogged. Had it all taken care of myself, cost about 350-400 bucks total to bring it back to good condition. Only thing wrong is the dented front bumper from the license plate bracket. Looking for a replacement soon. There can be great deals found on craiglist if you look very often. It took me 3 weeks to find this one.

Ahhhh I hate you! My 94 cost me $5400 bone stock and it was in piss poor condition. Had 83k miles and never had it's 60k maintance, the clutch was bad, radiator was bad, paint was bad and the interior was trashed from constant rain with the top down.

So far I have over 10k into this thing, between those repairs plus an added supercharger, body kit, new paint job, new wheels, new exhaust, added security system and power windows, $600 in the stereo, new top w/ glass window, new seats, new fuel pump, ACU timing controller, and a whole sh|t load of little accessories and maintance items!

But congrats! 😛 Miata's are fun as hell to drive and I highly doubt your car is anywhere near as slow as stock. You are just used to the power of your G35 and M3!! lol.

wow, your car is so similar to mine. how involved was adding the power windows? i'm thinking about it.

Whatcha guys think about this one? Looks like it has aftermarket leather seats with something engraved.

It looks pretty good. Maybe those are seat covers, not entirely new seats. You should ask if the 60k service was performed (timing belt and water pump) as those items can cost a lot to replace.

whats wrong with the front bumper?

here's a closer picture of it

The previous owner probably got backed up into and the license plate bracket dented the bumper. I'm going to try to use a heatgun and get the indentations out. Ideally I would pick up a nicer used bumper though and replace this one. It's getting really faded (cant' tell so much in those pictures) but I think that's a common problem with polyurethane bumpers from that era.

why is your name amgkid and you don't have an amg? If your another benz fanboi like me, welcome to atot🙂

Had a 1987 300E previously =) Still a very big fan of the W124 Mercedes. One day I hope to have a 94-95 E500. Car was solid as a rock and very comfy. Very expensive to maintain though so we had to sell it. Here are some pics of the benz

#1: Lower that tail end.
#2: Lose the SC, find a TC. Screw leeching engine power to generate more (Although there is a point where an SC is better, but I don't know where the Miata falls with that)
#3: Nice.

Eh, an 8psi turbo would cost him $3500 and a 12psi $5000. Why would he spend that much on a car he paid $4000 for? You can upgrade that SC to 8psi for a couple hundred bucks. Hell I got my SC used for $1700 and the 8psi upgrade pully was included.

Edit: A supercharger also has a much different power curve. I'd rather have more power in the lower rpms than more power in the upper rpms with a turbo.

LiQiCE, you got some good taste in cars! Do you ever take it out on the track or autoX?

Thanks! ... I haven't taken it out on the track or autoX yet, I just got the S2000 in early August. I'm considering paying for lessons on the track to learn how to drive it well though. Somehow, the $300 for lessons or whatever it costs per weekend always ends up being spent somewhere else though 😉

I own a 1992 Miata with 45K miles! I love it!

Edit: Reliability and puts a smile on my face every day! And I am secure enough in my heterosexuality not to care when people (on this board) accuse Miata owners of being gay. I bet I attract a lot more looks from women in my Miata than the (hick) truck driver who posted above!

😀

I wish I could fit into a Miata 🙁

Why are some people calling this a chick car? It might have a small appearance but that is what makes the car great. Multi-link suspension all around, RWD, Sub 2500 lb curb weight. I wanted one for a while until I sat in one andd realized I'd always have to drive with the top down. (Not a good idea in Ohio 🙁) By the way assuming someones sexual orientation by what kind of car the person drives reeks of homophobia...
