ok so i've been looking for the past month, and i found these 4 to be pretty good choices...

1) 2002 Chevy prizm (probably base), 43k miles, auto and CD player, $5000 from kia dealer

2) 2000 Mitsu galant ES, 41k miles, auto, leather interior, power everything and moonroof, 6-disc cd changer and keyless entry, $5000 from a ford dealer

3) 1998 Toyota corolla LE (power everything), auto, 60k miles, $5500 nego, private

4) 1999 Toyota corolla VE (stripped), AC is the only option, STICK, 58k miles, but with 2 year/40k miles dealer warranty, $5200 nego, private

so far i'm leaning towards the chevy prizm and the galant, but even though the prices seem nice they may tag on various fees...? and yes i know the chevy is a corolla, and mitsu has a bad rep. also i don't know how to drive a stick... yet.

so what do you guys think? i need a car! anyone have one to sell around NYC area let me know!

Chevy prizm, since really it's a corolla. Kill yourself if you buy any mistubishi.

but the mitsu is soooo loaded and it has decent reviews on edmunds... friend has one and she loves it.

also... any chance that dealers will rape you on some bogus charges when you buy a used car?

I wouldn't go with mitsubishi unless it was an evo
