However, this bears no sane relation to the practice of medical circumcision, which doesn't involve serial killers or chopping anything into pieces. 😎

You're not allowed to use a term, then make up your own definition. That is NOT the definition of mutilation. Further, as has already been pointed out in this thread, there ARE medical reasons. Finally, I know you were just trolling with your comment about your supposed Christian beliefs, but the diseases mentioned aren't *only* spread via sexual activity. If a wife contracted such a disease through some other means, then the husband would be better protected from transmission from the wife.

it amazes me how many people use words they don't know the meaning of. i mean, i get the associated imagery of calling an asshole poster a 'troll,' but many think that that is the original word, and 'trolling' is just a term the internet created.

(and yes, i know trolling is technically a noun, too. but you know what i mean.)

Instant-assumed troll threads at ATOT:

1. Religion
2. circumcision
3. neckbeard

I know I'm forgetting a few obvious topics, but it's always to be assumed that [circumcision] is trolling or will, invariably, lead to trolling.
 
Every time we have one of these threads, I'm reminded of the time in Germany when I was out in the woods with about 20 Germans -- about half female, half male.

We trekked to this small lake, and all got nekkid to swim out to this rather bare and forlorn "island" in the middle of it. So . . . we're all out on this godforsaken island just standing around, and it was then that I noticed -- besides all the taut and fulsome female forms -- that I was the only foreskinless male. 😉

Foreskins had their purpose when man ran around he earth naked, it kept out the dirt & other foreign matter that didn't belong there.
Civilized people wear clothing now, so an exposed head stays clean as long as the owner maintains proper hygiene.
Women have told me horror stories about uncircumcised men who simply will not keep the area under the foreskin clean, and they have all told me that it looked "gross".
 
If i have a son, he will not be circumcised at birth. I feel it is wrong to perform an irreversible and major surgical procedure on someone unable to give consent. When he is old enough to make his own decisions, I would support him either way if he decided to get circumcised or not.

Again, I've never had any complaints, and one girlfriend said that she preferred the sensation of my sliding foreskin to bare penises. The foreskin & ridge adds to the surface area and volume of the dick...

For me, I've noticed a 'sliding' sensation that is prevalent *even during vaginal sex." Sorry, but you circumcised sheeple are missing out.

I clean my penis during every shower and pull back the foreskin to do so. Hygiene is a dumb red herring.

And any girl closed minded enough to think that an uncircumcised cock is 'gross' is not worth more than a single night in the sack, anyway.

When I was a baby and the Dr. circumsized me he cut off half of my penis. It was a good thing, though because 34 years later it's 9" long and more than most can handle anyways.

Comparing the removal of a foot to the removal of foreskin is ridiculous. Mutilation is defined as "a physical injury that degrades the appearance or function of any living body, usually without causing death." The loss of a foot has severe ramifications for the person losing it as it will initially hinder their ability to operate at their natural level. The loss of foreskin has nowhere near the same amount of impact as the circumcised individual does not suffer a functional loss because the foreskin has no purpose.
