I finally got my dad thinking on a new car, he has a couple of choices, so help me and him decide :D

Cars he likes most:

Audi S8
BMW 7.40 Li
Mercedes-Benz S-Series

Cars I like most:

Audi RS6
BMW M5
Mercedes-Benz S-Series

SUVs he likes most:

Land Rover Range Rover

SUVs I like most:

Porsche Cayenne TT

So help us! If anyone of you owns one of these vehicles, let me know what you like and not like about them. Gas mileage is not important. I want a fast car, he wants a luxury car :D

Well, thanks for replies.

Maybe I should come up with suggestions as to what car Bill Gates should buy, picking out luxury cars for other people's fathers affects me about as much.

over any of the listed choices, any day.
Range Rovers are totally not worth their price, and neither is the Porsche SUV.. Audi's are pretty much more of the same..

A) It's your DAD'S FREAKING CAR! You can give him advice and such but your stance on "I want a sports car he wants luxury" is inane and bratty.. If he wants luxury, he gets luxury...

b) "I finally convinced my dad...." - Does he want/ need a car or is he giving in to your constant nagging??? The times are tough my friend.. If your dad doesn't need a car then, please, let him save the money..

He can, but wouldn't it be stupid to pay around 100k without asking others opinions?

And I'm sure he will.

If I had enough money to buy one of those cars, I'd probably still buy an Accord, thus keeping my money. (Unless I won the lottery. Then I might not care. But as long as it's money I'm working for, it will not be squandered on such frivolities as luxury cars.)

I think it would be stupid to base a $100k car purchase on the opinions of a bunch of 15-23 year olds who mostly drive economy cars.

a) I know it's his car but the fact is that he always chose luxury over performance and in the end, he always complained about the performance. LoL.

b) Well he was thinking about getting a new car for a year. He just wasn't sure, so after 100K miles in his Mercedes-Benz E320, he finally decided he needed a new one. No nagging :p

Go with an Mercedez S-Class since you both like it.

But like everyone else says. Its his car. He should get something he doesn't like and you do.
That said have him test drive the M5. He'll like it.

He is starting to like Audi RS6 actually... probably them whoppy 450 hp and 0-60 in 4.4 seconds :D Well we are gonna go to Audi and BMW showrooms tomorrow to see if they have a RS6 and a M5 that we can test drive.
