a guy cut me off the other day so i punched my horn. "tweet tweet, tweet tweet". pathetic. i need to replace them with airhorns. i see some on ebay for $20-30 that saids 135db. how loud is 135 db? if you have air horns please comment

You need to hook up an air compressor, tank, the horns, and all the electrical. If you do not do the tank, you will have to wait for the line to pressurize, meaning any leaks and your horn will go off after a delay.

the $20 ebay horns don't include a tank. just the 2 horns, compressor, relay and tubing...how much should a good set of horns that includes everything cost?

What kind of car do you have? My Civic came with the crappiest horn I've ever heard. Not only is it weak, it has a funny sound to it. I replaced it with a Freeway Blaster - not an air horn, but it's plenty loud enough for me.

this is for a 96 maxima.

I'm very tempted to buy an electric exhaust cutout for this very reason. That Griot's horn looks good... I definitely need something like that.

Revving my car doesn't make nearly as much sound as it used to with all the excess backpressure gone from the turboback exhaust. It's still loud enough to be obnoxious but not quite like those Civic "TypeRiceboy Fart-cannon Bumbleswarms Specials"TM. The sound is very low frequency so it tends to set off car alarms.
