the ecu is behind the center console to the right of the gas pedal. it is silver. I have no idea what you are describing though.

its what they use to transmit their mind controlling brainwaves. Get a tinfoil hat and you'll be ok.

Neither do I... that's just what I was told on the phone... They also said it is buzzing... they can hear it and feel it...along with the buzzing, the battery and brake lights are lit....this just happened after replacing the alternator for the second time in 2 weeks so we're trying to narrow things down and decide if the car will make it back to upstate NY from South Jersey.....

Thanks for all the help so far,

I see.... so maybe there is nothing wrong but "they" want us to think there is and if I put my foil beanie on the lights will go out and everything will be right in the world again......hmmmm....I'll get back to you on that one....🙂

By the way, I tried the foil beanie thing and all I got from that was polka music.... oddly enough, nobody else heard it....weird.....🙂

sounds like the car has some electrical problems to be worked out... might be more problems than its worth. what is buzzing exactly? the brake lights are on all the time?

im trying to help here, but your being vague. I've seen the in's and out's of more nissans than I care to anymore. If you can get me some more info (details) then ill see what i can do. If you want to do a search, head over to sr20deforums. Nissanclub and all those suck and are a bunch of dummies that dont know much. se-r.net may also have some knowledge to help.

From what I'm told, the box under the dash is buzzing and the "BRAKE" light on the dash is staying on along with the battery light... The only description I could get of the box under the dash is that it is white with a bunch of wires coming from it and it is near the fuse block. After some looking around I'm wondering if it is the SMJ but I don't see what could be making it buzz.....I'll tell ya.. gimme an old Ford and I could probably tell you exactly what the component was but I know a little less than nothing when it comes to imports....I agree that it sounds like electrical gremlins but since it's the SO's son's car and he's in South Jersey and we're in upstate NY, I just want to get him and the car back here then I can actually see what it is he's talking about..Thanks for the help....
