The Corolla is an appliance. In that regard, it's a GREAT car of EXCELLENT quality that will last you many miles and get you great gas mileage. Just don't expect much fun out of it.
You can soup it up with performance parts from TRD (Toyota Racing Division), such as lowering springs, front sway bar, supercharger, cold air intake, TRD rims, and exhaust!Originally posted by: NFS4

Werd.
That's the only model that doesn't look very plain to me. However, they are completely bulletproof in terms of reliability.

granted its no batmobile...
what, exactly, is boring for a car?
(or better yet, what would be exciting?)

the S is just some glued on plastic bits that were glued on at the toyota distributor. as such, they don't look all that good, imho. but then i'm pretty much against all glued-on plastic bits

so...is that link the boring or exciting?
the reason i ask is: my gf just got one and i knew in my heart of hearts that i could find the cars weakest points by asking you guys. so far the report is pretty good. she had a 92 corolla until just now, so...as long as this one is equally as good, she shall be happy.

Maybe sport looking?
IIRC, it only adds on the body kit. Aside from that, it's completely the same.
It doesn't have any added performance changes, not even a suspension upgrade or alternate engine option (kinda like the Lancer OZ Rally).
The car does its job fine, but it looks funny to me.
It rides way to high, rims are much too small, and the car being narrow and tall already is a bad, bad combination.
If you want sporty and reliability in an economy sedan, look at a Mazdaspeed Protege MP3 or Sentra SE-R Spec V.
