No, this is not a car for somebody looking to drive something reasonably affordable, as I am guessing you are. I would be really concerned with maintenance.
At this point, just buy a car and STFU with your god damn threads. You're worse than Redhotjrm with his incessant "What soap shall I wash my Infiniti I30 with today", "Should I drive my car 2 or 3 mph over the speed limit" threads.
What a bitch!!

the same way my insurance rates went from estimated 4K per year with the F-body. vs 1300 a year with the Saab.

Skoorb: the thing is, the vehicle doesnt have many miles (for its age). its a one owner vehicle which was previously a lease. saab's are expensive to repair, thats why you take care of the them and they shouldnt break.

You will want to use the higest octane available regardless. That's a must for European cars, so take that into account.

You need to run Premium in the 9-5 Aero. There's a large Saab community online, as they're something of a cult car. Anyway, the high pressure turbo engine REALLY wants premium, and you'll get better mileage, more power, and less long term problems running premium.

I'm telling you, it's Saab's highest performance, turbocharged vehicle. It needs premium. I can't imagine that anyone here would disagree with me. Just like an Acura TL, an NSX, or a BMW M3, it will run on regular, but there will be consequences.
