Hello Fellow Car Enthusiasts,

A new customer has given me the honor of restoring a 1966 Dodge Charger 383. The car has only 20,000 miles but was disassembled by the previous owner and painted poorly. I will be reassembling the car and painting the exterior plus making a few minor enhancements.

I will needs some help from any Mopar fans on ATOT. I am having trouble finding good online resources for parts and technical information. Could you please help locate and post some links for me to review?

Thanks in Advance,
Quixfire

P.S. I will post some pictures later.

I have a friend who is also contemplating getting into a restoration project on a dodge charger. I'll give him your info- if he gets into it, mb you can work together.

My wife's been drooling over 60's Barracudas. Wish I had the $$ and could find one cheap...

I love 60's Mopar. :D

If you are looking for original parts don't forget the dealerships (I am not sure on the mopar stuff though). For my 1966 Mustang I was able to get most of the body panels, foglights, grille bars, and stainless steel trim from dealerships....sometimes it's 'normal' priced, other times they have it *way* marked up.

Mopar dealers don't carry a lot of stuff for older cars.

But it doesn't hurt to make friends with the parts counter guy.

They can do a national look up and see who has what. I found some odd stuff for my Lebaron I thought would be discontinued.

Year one is a great source for restoration parts.

There is a salvage yard in the SW US that carries only Mopar parts. I can't remember their name.

Your best bet is a MOPAR magazine like Mopar Muscle. Check the ads.

Hemmings Motor News is another amazing source.
