My girlfriend is getting a new (used) car, preferably something like a Honda Accord probably in the next couple of months. Her dad is selling part of his company so he's buying it for her.

Something like: 2002 Honda Accord LX, 17k miles, blue - $16k from carmax.com

What would you pick for a used car for about 16k?
 
Either used Camery or Accord would be good idea, is she wants something to reliable and dependable with descent gas mileage.
 
Is that $16k out-the-door or is tax/tag extra? If not then the $16k goes to $17k easily. If your looking for that high a price consider a new car like a Mazda 3. I just bought a new 2004 Frontier (truck that drives like a car) for much less than tha OUT-THE-DOOR.
