YACT: 06 Nissan Murano at invoice price

thru the costco auto program we found out costco members can get the murano at $500 above invoice. the dealer we went to is giving it to us at invoice. edmunds shows the TMV as $1000 or so above invoice. looks like we're getting a good deal. any comments?

well the costco program is suppose to be no haggle. how often are people getting the 06 for below invoice? invoice is already below TMV...

The Murano is an excellent vehicle. I have driven one quite a while (my aunt is o/m at several dealerships.)

I love Nissans!

Nissan Murano, Nissan Quest, Pontiac Aztek, and Ford Explorer sitting outside my house.

Two for two!

is it common practice for dealers to include 'forced options' like floors mats and cargo protectors? the sales lady told us we can't refuse those if the car they have already has them.

Are they dealer installed, or part of a Nissan package?

dealer installed i suppose...they are all optional...i don't see why they can't just open the door and remove the carpet mats.

If they are dealer installed they can, but if it's listed on the factory sticker, they can't because it's a huge no no with Nissan.

Why wouldn't you want floor mats?

Why wouldn't you want floor mats?
You would, but you would also want the dealer to throw them in for free.

Do yourself a favor and stick with the factory floor mats. $20 floor mats in a $25k+ vehicle is pathetic. Hell, $20 floor mats in a $5k+ vehicle is pathetic...

have you used the mats from costco? its thick rubber, perfect fot winter. its not the walmart stuff

Doesn't matter. None of them fit exactly like the factory mats. For all the time and effort you spend to hunt down decent mats for them you've wasted enough gas and time to more than make up for the cost of the factory mats.

Anyway, it's not my car, do what you will. I just hate all the cheap mats, carpet remnants, towels, etc that people defile their decent vehicles with. 🙁

BTW, I do like the Murano, and Nissans in general.

Are you trading a car in? I read in a costco auto thing review that people were getting bad trade in values. On the other hand, you don't have to haggle.
