YACircumcisionT (updated )

Hmm...I just found out from my mom that my 2 youngerbrothers will definitely going to have their circumcision this coming tuesday AFAIk. Both are 10 and 7 years of age and they chose to give it a go. I just hope it will go well for them =/ (it's not a nice experience too either lol 😛)

🙁😕 😱

Well, it's 6:34 a.m PST right now. I'm the only one in the house getting up and ready for the procedure. I'll be going w/ my parent and my 2 brothers soon the be snipped. Uggh time to make breakfast, the surgery will start @ 9 AM. I'll just be there at the clinic for brotherly support, really not sure lol. But I'll hang on with those guys to see what's happening there...

6/27/06 4:40 pm

almost several hours been passed, these boys did it, didn't cried or screamed during the procedure. Actually they didn't feel anything at all, well they felt the pain after a couple of hours. Now they are doing okay, it's time for 2 weeks of healing 😛

Time for some sports !

I'm on the fence on this one. First of all, I've never been circumsized.

Pros
...I've got nothing on this category. The reason for circumsizion in the past was for health reasons, but now we have medicins to avoid such problems.

Cons
Loss of sensation. Now, this can be a pro, too. One would assume that it would make the duration of sex more lengthy, but would it be worth it? I don't know, but I'd say that sensation is more important than duration, but I guess that's a bit selfish.

10 and 7 year olds don't "choose" to have medical procedures done. Your mom chose it for them. Which is fine, but it was her choice, not theirs.

I can understand, sensation cannot be measured accurately. It varies to everyone. Oh I just hope for the better. It hurts like fire ants x 1000

Yeah, you can put it that way. They don't really need too, I even ask my Brothers if they want to continue to do such a thing. They didn't even care more or less, they just went off playing DDR lol 😛

Exactly. And they'll probably resent her for it for the rest of her life.

I even told them how painful it's going to be 😕 (even I went through it at age 10). Anyways, these guys will be having one the most unique days in their lives.

Unlikely. At that age, they haven't been exposed to certain sensations, and I'm willing to bet that they'll never be able to tell you what it was like before the procedure. If you're going to do it; do it young.

Why does your mom wait till you kids are old to do it? I though Jews do it at birth and Muslims at 6 years old? Is it so that you are old enough to "choose" it?

So why is she doing it? Is it for health reasons?

I doubt that they will, but I certainly hope they do.

Well I'm pretty sure that me (being the oldest) and my other brother (the second oldest) went through circumcision....

But my situation was unique, some of the foreskin attached at the glans penis...i'm glad it got solved through the procedure (It just fell off after 2 weeks of healing)

I'm not quite sure on the terms, but isn't that how it's...uh...supposed to be? The foreskin is supposed to be attached to the head.

Trust me, if you get it done when you're a baby, there's no loss of sensation. I don't see how that's even possible, considering that the problem for most guys, circumcized or not, is that they climax way too fast.

Let's say when you are born you have a sensitivity of 10. You get circumcized and get a sensitivity of 5. You feel no loss of sensation since you never knew what a 10 felt like.

It's only those who get circumcised later on in life which can really tell the difference, and they've given their opinion.

well, put it in this way, I can't pull the foreskin all the way down the to pop head up :|. Just can't, there was skin attached to the head to prevent it going down thoroughly.

Yeah I know, even for the surgeon who was operating me....(yeah I can still remember). He just simply did an incision around it lol 😛

I've heard of it happening before. IIRC there are some other things you can try before you are cut, but the end result is usually that you get cut.

Funny story; my brother didn't find out about that little "feature" until he had sex, and it wasn't his first time, either. She musta been loose? ^^;

You're missing my point.

I'm saying that lack of sensitivity is not a problem for guys, whether they're circumcized or not. I think every guy has to work on his "lasting power".

If you were to offer me even more sensivity, I'd have to say no, since I'd last about 30 seconds. It's too damn sensitive already.

Besides, while those who get the procedure done early in life wouldn't know what it's like to be uncircumcized, those who get the procedure done late in life don't know what it's like to have it done early in life. Having surgery done as a baby is different than having it done as an adult. When you're a baby, your body is still developing, and recovery is almost always more complete.

I think if a guy who got circumcised later in life says that he hates it and that he has no feeling anymore, something went seriously wrong. It should still be really damn sensitive.

It's not about the recovery, it's about the exposure of the glans to things like underwear. For those who are un-cut, the twinkie is nested safely in the wrapper until needed, making it sensitive when its wrapper comes off.
