Why aren't your dogs running at you too?

no dogs for me.

Wait....huh? Nevermind. For a second I thought you were trying to tell me you have a cat but no dogs.

😕

Household: 2 people, 1 cat, 0 dogs

😛

Oh, sorry for the loss of your dogs 🙁

Post pics of the puppies ASAP 🙂

Thread needs more puppy. My little rescue girl Shelby:

I am thoroughly confused, my friend - I have never owned dogs. My parents have one, though - I may have posted a pic of him at some point.

Dense much? 🙂

I got back from Chicago today and he was meowing once I got into the porch...had my camera in my backpack so I took this:

<3 kitteh.

Cat haters, GTFO. :|

"Where you been motherfucker? I wants my food!!"

In her younger years, my cat, who's almost 15, would wait in the front yard for me to come home...then roll on the sidewalk demanding my attention when I finally got home from work.
Nowadays, she doesn't get into the front yard, (too old and fat to get over the fence in an emergency) but she still waits in the front room for me to come home...and meow's at me non-stop when I walk through the door.

I likes teh kittehs.

Oh yeah. They will wait by the front yard gate for me to come home @ night.
A few years ago, I left her home for 3 days while I did a gig out of town....she let me have it when I came home, talked about it and wouldn't let me out of her sight.
Never again.

Stop this. It makes me want to get a cat 🙁

(Current apartment doesn't allow pets... blah)

Same here.. it's getting hard to not just get one anyway.

Sweet kitteh! I love when my family cat(s) greet me. I was eating dinner last night and our newer kitty just randomly walked up to my chair, mewed, and reached his paws up to my arm while I was eating (much like your cat was doing). I wasn't used to it and almost died of cuteness intake.

Hahahah...

1) Has happened when I'm home - he likes to shred q-tips if he can get to them, though.
2) No plants FTW
3) No Persian rugs FTW
4) Hmm, that would suck but he sleeps there so that's safe
5) Clipped claws and he's pretty good about using his scratcher (or carpet....hmm)
6) No problems there
7) Oh yes. When I'm home...
8) Under the couch? Try *inside* the couch. Apparently it is possible.
9) This happens.
10) Nope, as evidenced by the video, he's still happy 😛

Dude, you don't talk to your cats? That cat is begging for some conversation!
This. I always talk to my cat (or any cat) but then the experts in feline behavior say that cats have little use for vocalization in the wild, they say that its a learned behavior (i.e. we respond to them when they are vocal, and we vocalize back, so they vocalize more, and we respond more, vicious circle).

There is a cat up the street that looks like some kind of hybrid. It looks like a lynx or bobcat with a bobbed tail, but its normal domestic sized. I've driven by a few times when the owner or occupants of the home are getting out of their cars and the cat is always there to greet them.

Haven't gotten a pet since I moved out since I don't want a pet unless there's someone at home most of the day at least. But we always had pets when I was a kid, and one of my sisters became a vet in England (I'm in the Netherlands). When I was visiting her one day she came home from work with a scared little kitten. It decided that I was less scary than the rest of the house, so it fell asleep on my shoulder and lay there the rest of the day 😛 (No, that's not a comfortable position to sit in). When it got older it decided that visitors were scary unless proven otherwise, and would bolt and hide under the bed the moment someone would approach the front door. When I visited her again a year later it had not seen me all that time. It was sleeping in front of the window, and when it heard the gate open it looked up, saw me, stretched out, and slept on. When I got in the house it walked up to me, waited for me to sit down, and jumped on my lap.

Yes but only because he wants food
This. Your dog appears to be starving to death.

This. I've seen quite a few animals that freak out when they are left alone. My friend's dog shits all over the place when left alone, but is very well behaved when people are home.

And yes, those among others, always greet us/me when we/I get home....some with more enthusiasm than others.

Nope my cat doesn't care when I get home, but he does when he wakes up sometimes. He's 16 years old though so his naps are like a day and a half long sometimes. Just looked though and can't find any pics. 🙁 I'll have to snap one when he eats later.

my cat is in indoors only cat and she is always waiting for me at the door..
shes kinda a dog in a cats body though.. very needy follows you around fetches etc..

My cat always greets me when I come back in, no matter how long it's been. Then again, I'm probably her 3rd or 4th owner and the only one that's kept her more than a few months. After she snuck out the back door and showed up a week later looking very worse for wear, she's been stuck to me like glue. The majority of the time she'll either be in the same room as me or within eye/ear shot. She doesn't really mind other people, but she's leery of them and is just now kinda sorta warming up to my girlfriend who has been coming to my house for 10 months.

My kitteh is pretty much always at the door and meowing at me as soon as I walk in, no matter how long I've been gone.

Then we have a routine where I walk to my desk, sit down, he demands to be petted for 5 minutes, and then he jumps in front of my keyboard and falls asleep.

Ordered this off Amazon on Christmas Eve for my 2 cats, was $120 shipped, not bad. They literally have nowhere to play/hangout in my apartment.

Nice looking Kitteh...sadly we can't have cats(Son has allergies)...my last cat was a Russian Blue and was pure awesomeness.

I like the way your pussy is trimmed.

My 2 kittens are awesome! They come running when they hear my car or my wife's car. Can't have pets at our place so they live outdoors at my moms house. 🙂
