I've got a ghetto Sony HU pushing 20Wx4 with two 6.5"s in the front. Rear is empty.
I plan to get an amp+sub for the trunk and tap into the rear speakers (amp has high-level input) for signal.
Now, the amp will keep those nasty highs away from my sub - but the front speakers will still be trying to push bass, thereby muddying their ability to put out clearer mid/upper at higher volumes.
Is there anything I can do about this (cheap 2-channel filter?) or do I just suck it up until I can afford a real setup?
