What's the difference between a stout and a porter? I had some Sam Adams Cream Stout the other day and it wasn't too bad. If i like that, would I like your porter?

Porters tend to be a bit more bitter...bite you in the back of the mouth than stouts. But at the same time more flavorful. They are more crisp than a stout. Stouts are a little less fizzy.

At least in my opinion.
