What did Ross do to Lt. Winters to put him in court-martial?

And when the NCO's resigned, what did Sinks do? Removed their ranks?

The offical site says:

Training for this mission in England, Sobel continues to harass Winters by citing him for failing to inspect a latrine. When Winters requests a trial by court martial, the sergeants in the company decide to turn in their stripes rather than lose Winters and have to follow Sobel into combat. Their Commanding Officer, Col. ROBERT SINK (Dale Dye), upbraids them for this, but decides to transfer Sobel out of the company before the upcoming D-day mission. The episode ends as the company -- Winters included -- board planes headed for Normandy.

I think Winters' court martial came about because Sobel made changes to his schedule, but Winters never got word of it. Winters had orders to do something (I don't remember exactly what) at say 1000 hours, but Sobel changed it to 0900. The family that Winters was staying with at the time didn't have a phone, and the messager never reached him.

I was actually in Taccoa, GA two weeks ago, just at the base of Currahee. They have a few little monuments there; I'll post pics when I can.

Edit: Are there any Southeast ATOTers who would like to meet in Taccoa to climb Currahee, three miles up and three miles down?

Currently in Tupelo, MS....Toccoa's a little far to drive for a 6-mile run. 😉

Looking forward to seeing the pic, though.
