I do know the difference and you can't BBQ with gas.
Then why would you mention BBQ (that is smoking/slow roasting) in a thread about grilling? Smoking meats has very little to do with grilling steaks.

I was merely offering my opinion that while I agree that gas is faster (I use it too), charcoal is much better. For the cost of one of these gas grills the OP could have a less expensive gas grill and a nice charcoal grill. It's all about options and quality cooking...the best of both worlds.

Well you could have said that in the first place and you wouldn't have sounded like a troll!
I stand by my claim that a $10 smoker box in a gas grill is the real best of both worlds.

The Char-Broil it is. Without spending the xtra $$, I can get a nice cover for it too, and maybe some new tools to use on it :)

I was debating between two CharBroil grills, the one you mentioned and this one, and I went with the 4 burner model. To me, the cooking surface was too wide for three burners. I got it at Home Depot for 259, with free assembly and free gas.

Yup, Home Depot is where I'm looking. For $60 more, I may consider the 4-burner model, as the stainless panels look nicer too. Hmmm....

I've always been partial to Weber grils...I like em, they have served me and my family well through many grilling excursions

I don't doubt the quality on the Genesis line. However, the price is more than I want to spend, and frankly, I just think they're ugly :( For the cost of one of those, I'd want an all stainless one.

After owning a Weber gas grill, I would never recommend them. Mine is 5 years old and it's ready to die. The igniter was burnt by the flames from the burners so that's dead. The "flavorizer" bars are all rusted. The porcelin grates are impossible to clean well. Never again. Too much money for a subpar product.

It kicks ass.

Very nice. I could have gotten a grill like that, or nicer. But instead I spent a chunk of $$ on this (not dial up friendly):

Hehe.
I've been wanting a Dell 42" plasma for months. It keeps getting backed up. I just remodeled the bathroom, bought this grill, a compound miter saw, a compressor and nail guns.
If it keeps going at this rate, I'll never see that tv. ;)

Check your pockets;).

I thought I had lost two couter pins when I was setting up our new Char-Broil grill. Turns out I had put them in my pocket for safe keeping. Anyone need two extra coutering pins?

:D Would have to check my whole pants for the piece I'm missing :p

I did have a pair of xtra screws afterwards. Also, a little "heat shield". Not mentioned anywhere in the directions, but is listed in the parts list
