an initial police communication indicated that a homeowner opened the door with a gun drawn and pointed it an an officer, and the officer then opened fire. body cam footage shows the officer shooting the homeowner through a window. conveniently, the PD says there was a "miscommunication". I'm sure that was completely the case

After knocking on the door and getting no response, the cop is looking around outside the house at midnight with a flashlight, the guy sees him through the window but has no idea who he is (which is evident by what he says after being shot), the cop sees him and sees his gun, and in a panic he opens fire on the homeowner. Then the cop lies about what happened to cover his ass. Now there is footage that shows that the officer clearly lied in his report. This cop put himself in a bad situation and lied to try and cover it up. His department is still backing him up, which is complete bullshit after his being caught red-handed lying his ass off.

Cops need to change their motto from "To protect and serve" to "You might not be going home, but I am".

As someone who used to own guns, I wouldn't point the gun at someone until I can see a clear threat. I used to live in a area where I would get a lot strangers knock at my door at odd hours, and I would place my hand with the firearm on the wall and then open the door to see who it was.

Cop should be fired and prosecuted for manslaughter. Anyone in the department that fights it should also be fired and prosecuted as accessories. Anyone who helped him cover it up should be fired and prosecuted as accessories.

Haha, just kidding, paid vacation for him and he might have to move to another precinct. Similar to the fate of Catholoc priests.
