cliffnotes: checked deals for sd400 on fatwallet, but all expired. checked amazon and saw a guy selling a new one for $200. read over amazon's "a-to-z safe buying guarantee" and took the plunge. now waiting....

update - seller cancelled transaction. i emailed him asking if the price was a mistake

well good thing is that you are using your CC directly at puchasing the camera.
So if something's not right, you can contact your CC and file a charge back.
