YAACT: 07 Accord SE-V6 VS. 07 Altima 3.5 SE

07 A3 and 07 GTI are both German cars. Some mechanic dude my dad knows says German cars might give you problems. Dad takes mechanic dude's word as God's, no German cars for me.

I drive an '05 Accord EX v6 and i have no qualms. handles fine, very smooth driving. it was a compromise between me wanting something sportier and my parents looking for something more "family" and economically oriented. im not sure if they changed the interior but i really like the '05's. the only problem is that changing how bright the gauge is is rather annoying

Heh, true to an extent.

I'd probably take an accord over the altima, but a maxima over an accord.

maxima is slightly pricier than the accord no? atelast that's the impression in my head

Hmm, score! Edmunds says that all 2004 Nissan Quest owners get $1000 cash back on any new Nissan purchase 😀

<- Mom has an 04 Quest

According to nissannews.com, the Altima coupe will be going on sale in September. If you can wait that long/want a coupe over a sedan.

My mom bought the new designed altima when it first came out (2002) with the 3.5L. It has had absolutely no problems and has around 85,000 miles now.

Just got back from the local Nissan dealer. Not a single 06 SE, and only one 07 SE that was fully loaded ($32,000). Gonna have to check out bigger dealers in Tampa tomorrow.

32k?! What a ripoff! Who would buy that many options? I would:
a. Buy a Maxima instead.
b. Buy a better car than a Nissan (Infiniti if you want to buy from the same company).

Not saying you were considering it, just that that car's not worth it. 😛

Anyways, Christobevii's post redeemed Nissan in my eyes, somewhat. Nissan is known for their reliability problems. Check Edmund's worst reliability charts: Nissan and Volkswagen are leading, followed by American cars. I know Nissan's bigger cars (pickups and SUV's) are on that list, but not sure about smaller cars like the Altima/Maxima.

Sweet, found 3 3.5 SE's at Autoway of Brandon just like I want them! No frills other than a spoiler and foglights!! Hopefully I'll be driving my new baby on Friday, WOOT!

Im in the same situation.
My dad has a v6 accord and loves it. I test drove the 3.5SE today.
It would be great if you could post how the buying process goes and what you get it for.
