In the past decade, we've witnessed the creation of the Internet, the proliferation of the cell phone and unheralded advances in medicine. Fireworks, however, have remained exactly the same. Why has there has been no progress in this field? The fireworks I saw this weekend are the same ones I saw ten years ago. Except there's that new smiley face one. But it always comes out upside down.

We had some great new one's this year. Smiley was right-side-up, too. First time that's happened, though!

I can't imagine that there's much more to be done with fireworks unless they're able to make fireworks completely safe for use by Joe Blow. Or, discover new substances/compounds aside from the ones currently used that produce fireworks or different colors/effects.

I want ones that animate in the air!

Like a laser light show, but with explosions. Now that I'd PAY to see!

I think the gov't is using fireworks to help spread chemicals in the air to keep us all loyal, abiding citizens. Much like those chem trails I see planes dumping into the skies.

The blue jeans I was wearing yesterday are the same ones I wore ten years ago, too. Well not literally the same pair, but you know what I mean...

There are some things that are just too good to improve upon. Blue jeans and fireworks.

Although, if you talk with any professional pyrotechnic, I'm betting they could give you a dissertation on the advances in fireworks in the last 10 years. Ignorance is blisssss......

Wait - Al Gore created the Internet in the last decade? I thought that was a long time ago. ;)
