Ya know them things?

What are those things called that you sit on your desk? They come from novelty stores. There's all different kinds, but one that comes to mind is the little tube that when you turn it upside down it drops little colored balls of fluid that roll down a corkscrew ramp.
There's the "wave picture" with blue and clear stuff in it that you can rock and it looks like a real wave.
What are these things called?
What I'm really after is to find out what the slop is that is inside.
They use two fluids that aren't miscable yet seem to have almost the same density, both being close to water.
I'm thinking up a case mod and want to research the fluids and their physical qualities.

They're called 'overpriced crap' Check in any Spencer's Gifts store.

I checked Spencer's online. Their website is teh suck.
Mineral oil and colored water may be just the answer I was looking for.
Any two fluids with thermal characteristics approaching that of water would work.
Actaully only one of the fluids would need to carry away heat. That fluid would need to be heavier than the other fluid.

I'm pretty sure that it is babyoil and water. With food color added to the water to get the blue and the babyoil sitting on top. I'm not positive but that at least should get you started.
