There has to be something they singled you out for, more than likely it's some kind of behavior like people flying down the roads, booming, burning rubber out of the neighborhood after the party, crap left behind, etc.
Negative, we aren't loud at all. More peaceful than any of the families with kinds in our area.
Also by your own explaination (you live in a private community), they are not wanting cars on the road way or outside a garage (probably over night). If you cannot have everyone park on your driveway without blocking the sidewalk then that's a problem. I am sure there are places the HOA has for parking like the club house or a park. You should use them.
Can you read? They are fine with cars on the road, they are not fine with the type of vehicles. They are basically saying your friends cars are crappy and they are lowering our property values. The only reason I listed the makes and models was to show how frivolous they are being. These cars are average, not rusted out eyesores.
Most professional adults don't put a value on their 'worth' by stating "well my friends are important because they own the following vehicles...". I'd take a picture with all those cars and your place to let us see how they beautify the place.
See above. I am not putting a value on anything based on what someone drives.
Something like "I don't know WTF people have a problem with. My friends are mostly professionals, they aren't causing a scene coming and going and we wrap it up just after midnight. They claim I can't have any cars in my driveway, yet they do not provide any overflow parking options...we have no park, club house, etc. Others use their driveways regularly. I think I am being singled out because I am a renter which is allowed in this community"
They do not provide overflow parking, there is street parking. The issue is them being so stuck up that they complain about average cars in the neighborhood. Almost everyone there has newer luxury cars, I don't think its fair that in order for my friends to come visit they have to have luxury cars.
I don't know why they don't like us, we obviously don't fit into their social circle but I am polite to all my neighbors. I've helped a few of the members with their cars. Nothing major, showed a lady how to change a tire, pulled a car out of the ditch last winter, and changed a fuel pump on my neighbors car for free.
It doesn't seem that the residents around me have a problem, I think the issue here is the community is in a circle, our house is at the entrance. The first thing people see when they enter the community is our house and cars. The complaints are coming from the back end of the community where the mcmansions on the lake are located. But again these aren't rust buckets, and I don't feel I should be limited to how many guests I have park on a road my tax dollars paid for.
I do not think I am exempt from the rules, I was notified when I moved in I couldn't keep the boat outside, I moved it to a storage facility. Were were told the outdoor house lights need to be on at night, I put them on a timer.
I've been more then polite and respectful to all their requests, this particular one is over the top.
