Perhaps...all BMW's and most vendors with the optional Sports package have larger wheels and a firmer suspension.

i clicked on the wrong vote button 😱

nice car, gigapet. if it makes you happy, that's all that matters.

You only live once. But The 740 is expensive to maitain even if you have extended warranty. A brake job at the dealer cost around $1200-$1500. I have a 540 which has the same 4.4 V8 engine.

wtf happened to those things? look like they were in an explosion.

My sister scratched that rim a bit but I also think its visual effects from the flash and the rain on the tires.

LOL, you can see the chips all the way around. Although im not surprised those rims were fvcked up by a woman driver.

IMHO it's a great car that needs bigger BMW wheels with low pro rubber to really set it off.

Those low end rims and high sided tires look weak on such a nice car.

It's a nice car, but damn, it's almost 6 years old. Asking for trouble if you ask me, especially with all the geegaws and gizmos that thing has.

MB and BMW are notorious for the electronics fizzling out after 4-5 years. Not to mention high prices on regular maintance. My friend has a S430 and it was nothing but problems. Al least you have the warranty. Also, you can't make this entire thread and NOT tell us what you paid! Ballpark it at least!

Ok. The seats look boxy and uncomfortable, and I don't like the look of them very much. I still like the car though. And I was wondering (and I assume) the seats are pretty comfortable, even though they have a boxy look?

i cant find an uncomfortable position to sit in.

Big. Yeah. I've got that problem. Accept 6'10" 320Lbs. My mustangs I barely fit in, and my Lincoln is WAY too comfortable.

Based on the price Edmunds lists, you probably paid about what you'd pay for a new Civic, so that doesn't seem too unreasonable. Of course, it is 5-6 years old.

My plan is to keep the crappy ones for the winter and get good ones for the summer.

The 740 V8 engine is very reliable. Here is a list of common problems:

Dead instrment cluster pixel .
Catalytic converters failing
Power steering hoses leaking
Cup holders failing
Radiator failures. Plastic neck breaking
Original Water pumps with plastic impellers failing
thermostat failing

Bolded are common problems with ANY car.

I have been reading "user" reviews on bimmers for several different models off and on and 1 common rant is the cup holders. I find that very funny...
