y do i always have so many problems with my recievers!!

argh...i had one for a while and it overheated(it was hot in my apartment after just moving in during the summer) and never worked again...

got a new one a little over a year ago and about 5 months ago one speaker stopped working...i just gave it a little hit on the top of the receiver (after checking the wires) and it worked...same thing happened last weekend...

tonight its happening again, but when i hit it, nothing happens...now imi stuck with speakers only on one side working...

i dont have time to take it apart this week either so im just gonna have to deal

I've never ever had a problem with a receiver... had a POS Kenwood CD player die once... (some voltage regulators burned out) and i actually fixed it for like 10 bucks, but still.. ghettoooooo...

i have a cheesy Kenwood i use in my room for my PC and such, it actually plays just FINE, but i would not use it for a nice home theater setup.... for an mp3 player jukebox it's absolutely perfect

i also have a harman/kardon AVR receiver for my actual home theater... I love h/k.

sucks to hear you have so many problems, if you are not looking to spend too much, but want something decent... try either a JVC or a Technics.

You've got cold solder joints. Anyone who's decent with a soldering iron will be able to fix it. What is this crap anyway, Best Buy level Sony stuff?
