Yeah, a short pudgy ex-rapper as the one person that can save the President.... how can it possibly miss.

lol... well said. well i thought similar with Tom Cruise & the Last Samurai. I like Tom Cruise, nothing against him. Whoever leading man that served as the attraction for the film would have cheezed it.

anyway, XXX will make a coupla million... that's exactly what the production house wants. Not every movie packaged to go is expected to haul. they know this ex rapper has a core fanbase that would like to catch him no matter what he does... those aren't 'picky' movie goers. some people wanna see finally a leading black man.

Vin is playing it safe... i bailed out of a sequel to Fast & Furious and bailed out of a sequel to this one because he knows both were limited after the first one.

So the spots were left for bottom feeders...

Hmmmm....
Denzel Washington
Samuel L. Jackson
Chris Rock
Will Smith
Wesley Snipes
Morgan Freeman

There are plenty of leading black men with big time movie roles.

LOL. Pretty sad that we're scoring over 90% in the "HELL NO" category, especially since the 15- to 25-year-old male demographic is the movie's target audience.

It is not just about age group.

but then again this is a nerd forum who most stay home on the weekends

you know it's bad when vin diesel (the WORST actor humanity has unleashed) himself doesn't want the job

😀

More like the studios dropped his a$$ because he wanted a 30 million payday.

There choice of title stinks.

Ex. Late night comic "I was going to see was going to see XXX: State of the Union, but I've has enough of the Clinton administration documentaries."

Yes, I know that bad, but State of the Union and XXX don't go together without bringing up gov sex crap.

Still better then simply titling it xXXx or xXxi 😀

Makes you wonder how much Sony Studios paid the reviewers that have quotes in the TV commercials that read like "Best Action Movie of the Year!"

Nah. They don't pay for reviewers. They just make them up.

Yeah, I remember that story. I can't remember all the names of the reviewers in the commercials but a couple of them were off of internet movie sites. I think one of them was moviesource.net or something.

i know i know. what i meant was some of the hiphop crowd would step into this theater because it's that guy, regardless if the plot... well what plot. the flick is banking on this. i'm sure the flick gota built in hiphop track etc.

no, Chris Rock I like the guy a lot but he's not a leading man. Messy Snipes (said Will Smith in FreshPrinceofBellAir) isn't either.😉

oh really... good for the studio then... and even more dumb on him for considering signing up again for such a narrow ended series. the guy looked so bad casted as a world saver... he's too slow and vertically long. gives me that 'weights only no treadmill' kind of bodybuilding guy that can't do the athletic manuevers a 'special' agent is supposed to. also didn't strike me as a fitting role in Fast&Furious... a ImportCar 'expert' lol... looks more fitting as a blue collar 18wheeler driver cross country delivering fruit for Delmonte.

But he was pretty good in Private Ryan though.
