Dude, there must hav been a load of perpetrators with this type of inside job.... there's now way one man hauled out 1000 that easily...... - i wouldn't be surprised if i see another Ti-500's auct. on egay tomorrow or day after.....

EDIT: please change the title as it is very misleading!!

<< I don't think ubid is against to rules...but it's just frowned upon. And besides...ubid won't let those auction stay that low, what they'll do is, they'll extend the auction until it gets to a reasonable price for them. >>

Ubid is not sellling this themselves, it is an individual. If it goes for less than he wanted, then he probably won't repsond. I won an auction from an individual on a Geforce3 for $110. He never responded to my emails nor re-posted on Ubid. Must've went to Egay after this...

Ahahaha, selling a thousand Geforce3's, and the only payment method accepted is paypal, "Contact Name - Y . G .", and a conditional lifetime warranty. P.T. Barnum was right

ergh.. I accidently bidded... I didnt mean to accidently clicked ok...! what do i do I dont want this card at all!!!!

This is most likely a major scam.. 1,000 Geforce cards? I hope no one bids on them!

Paypal only (fairly secure), but it's coming from a hotmail address. I guess you could get paypal to refund if it's a scam.. has anyone had experience with this?

Paypal will only refund members with bank accounts tied to their name. So if this guy is not a veified member then you are sol.
:|😕😉

The seller of these 1000 cards is PayPal verified (he has confirmed and registered a bank account, etc). I have absolutely no clue what is going on, I bid, worst that could happen is I get nothing out of it.

Holy cow this scam artist is going to make a killing off these people. Since the seller does not have user rating the buyers are not protected by ubid.

For those of you not intimately familiar with PayPal, let me give you some bad news:

PayPal will only get you money back if they have money in their PayPal account. Period. Even if they are verified and have a rating of 400- if PayPal doesn't have their money in their PayPal account, you will not see a dime. They cannot arbitrarily make a withdrawl from a bank account to refund some other PayPal customer. Sad fact is, PayPal really doesn't care. They already skimmed their fee from the PayPal recipient.

Whether or not this guy has a verified bank account or address (and if he's good, it's a bank account using a fake SSN) he will remove the money from PayPal as it arrives. At worst he will lose the last few payments from people when PayPal freezes his account.

Bottom line- don't count on PayPal to pull your (_)_) out of the fire. 🙁

IT IS AN AUCTION

IT is a Ti-200, not a Ti-500

I got that reply also, along with other stuff... what I find strange is that he apparently tried selling WinXP Pro Corporate edition for 80 bucks until UBID and Microsoft stopped it. I'm considering testing him out...

lets see - no feedback on the seller and he only accepts paypal - if you guyz have money to lose, go for it
I would say MODS LOCK THIS BABY UP (SOON)
