cputester: for realz? damn.. i think there are quite a few ppl who got in on the gateway deal thinking the visiontek rebate was good. looks like there are gonna be some pissed off posts popping up soon 😛
 
Im still not sure if that rebate is a CompUSA ONLY thing, the page says it, but the actual rebate doesnt.

But as my post was titled:

Looks like evergreen 168 link is working again. Neither rebate mentions anything about a specific store.
 
i don't see why people are so confused...there are TWO rebates. one is for CompUSA only - the other one is for Visiontek in general...if you buy at CompUSA why wouldn't you use CompUSA's rebate...jeez.
 
Honestly I dont see how it would matter which ever one you use, they are both the same address, and same offer number.

BTW...THIS is with my New GF3 installed!! Nice....

 
I grabbed the last one here. I've been looking for a new card for a couple weeks now.

I also noticed there is a post card to mail in for a free copy of Power DVD with a copy of the receipt.

I just noticed the card for PowerDVD as well, it asks for the original upc though, can we do both of these? (rebate and software)

I am paranoid so I picked up one from CompUSA in addition to the Gateway. I am gonna wait a few days to send in one of hte rebates 🙂 Which One.... the gateway is cheaper 🙁

Its a postcard with free postage, but how could you ever attach the UPC and copy of receipt.

Mine doesn't have free postage. I just saw the copy of receipt part on during a quick glance over the contents. Card is looking nice in my machine. Pulled up MOH and Wolfenstein, and both were looking real sharp with everything turned on. I'm happy.

Thanks again to Sept1967. i am also just now running it. already it's like looking at a new computer, through a cool set of new spectacles....what an amazing increase in clarity....and i haven't even gotten to gaming yet. as ben stein would put it, 'wow'.
 
me and a friend also picked up two of em - had to ask them to get them from the back, they didnt put them out on the shelves for some reason. very nice overclock vs the older one i bought back in october (225/455 from that one). both of these hit 235/520, which is better than a ti500 in 3dmark2k1se. pretty nice for $107.50 AR (MD tax).

When overclocking these cards, are you guys using new heatsinks and fans? I wouldn't mind tinkering with overclocking but I'm not real interested in slapping new fans and sinks on there just yet...maybe after I've used it a couple months.
 
The rebate IS good at gateway so I am gonna take back the ComUSA card (unless one of you wants it) 🙂

You can submit the form you have for your rebate. It was not only valid at CompUSA.

The Rebate form did not say that, only the ad for the rebate. I just do not want to lose the $50 if this is a CompUSA rebate. It is handled by wheresmyrebate.com. Are they working for VisionTek in managing rebates ? Thank you. >>

hmm, where have u been? This deal has been posted so many times on this board and a lot of other boards. maybe u can catch it on e-loay for cheap with the upc ripped off 😉
