been looking at XPS400s and notice they have:

1 PCIe x1
1 PCIe x4
1 PCIe x16

What good does that do anyone? We have PCIe Gfx cards and Physics accelerators for two of those slots but what good is the 3rd. You cant do SLI in a non SLI mobo. Just wondering if there are PCIe stuff out there other than the Gfx and Physics cards?
 
after looking it looks like there are some network cards that use pci-e. I never think about how some people require high bandwidth networks for their jobs.
