Just thought I would let you fine folks know

Sony actually beat HTC to update its flagship.

Best yet- Anyone out there with the C6506 Model can flash it using Flashtool in 5 mins and 2 clicks of a button - so you don't have to wait for carrier non-sense - dead simple and doesn't void warranty. Nothing needed to the phone. (It's like Samsung's Odin basically)

My phone is the Rogers version. I unlocked it and am using on Virgin Mobile. I recommend flashing it the above method as it also removes all the bloatware.

This is Sony's 4th firmware update on the ZL since release. Looks like Sony is taking the updates seriously.

I have a C6603 version of the Sony Xperia Z. Is there a way to keep the phone completely stock (I have utterly no clue about these things) while simply updating the firmware? Meaning, the Sony experience would remain, and there is a way to update it to what would officially come in the future?

Glad to see you're enjoying your ZL by the way. The Z is one of the better phones I've ever owned, and from a vanity perspective it really stands out at a corporate lunch when everyone has their phones on the table :)

I may be wrong but I don't believe 4.2.2 is out yet for the Z. Should be soon though as its almost identical to the zl internally
