XP333-R+Corsair 512MB XMS :STOP error installing Win XP Pro or Win2K Pro (PAGE_FAULT)

Please help me guys ! I am getting a blue screen of death while installing Win XP Pro or Win2K on my almost new machine ! The error says "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" with an error code of STOP: 0x00000050.

Has anyone else seen this ?

Here is my configuration. The CPU, Mobo, Memory and HDD are brand new.

IWILL XP333-R ver 2.1 with Jan 18, 2002 BIOS
Athlon XP 1700+ Retail with sufficient cooling
1 stick of Corsair XMS 512MB DDR333 memory
Antec PP403X 400W PSU
Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 40GB 7200RPM HDD
XTASY GeForce3 Ti200
Toshiba DVD-ROM
TDK 24x10x8 CD-RW

The surprising thing is that if I drop the FSB speed to 100MHz from 133, the error goes away ! But I certainly don't want to run at that speed ... in fact i want to run at a higher speed than 133 😀

I have tried several different things, including setting everything to failsafe mode in BIOS, increasing the VIO to 2.6v and 2.7v.

The Mobo and Memory are both still under the 30 day warranty from Newegg ... so if you guys can tell me what might be wrong (the memory or the mobo or both) then I can try to replace them and get different ones.

(sigh) This makes me wonder if I should ahve gone for ABIT-KR7A-RAID with Crucial 512MB PC2100 🙁 (/sigh)

ANY help will be much appreciated !!
