XP2900 HELP!!!

I built a system with A7N8X mobo and athlon xp 2900 @2Ghz.
Everything worked fine but than i had to try modding the thing.. i joined the L5 to make athlon x M out of it.. it booted fine, but then i cut L6 to make it 12multi and it won't beep or boot, did i just kill the cpu???
