XP2400+ Overclocking

Which stepping & week is the best? What sort of results have been attained using aircooling? Can I use my MSI KT3 Ultra to oc?

TIA

I don't think there is a best week/stepping of those.. they are quite new and should all be very similar.... o/cing is luck of the draw, so there is no best. also yes you can use your KT3 to overclock, no problem.

as per the o/c results..

Mine didn't overclock too well. Granted I have a pretty decent cooling setup and was only able to get about 2.16GHz out of it with 1.8v. I did buy them when they first came out though.

Your MSI KT3 ultra does not have pci/agp lock, and it only has a vcore of up to 1.7v. It is "ok" for light overclocking. But you will be running your pci/agp out of spec unless you use a high multiplyer which I believe the xp2400 does have accessable. Plus with only 1.7v of vcore that limits you even further. Get a cheap Epox 8rda for $85 at newegg, they are a overclockers dream!
