Hmmm, I think the price on CPU is dropping....AMD just announced their plan on moving to .13micron processor, and AMD cpu price on pricewatch is dropping....so...might want to wait a little, or purchase with one of those CC that had price gaurante........

AMD just announced that their retail procs will sell for the same as OEM for a while, and their going with new processor architecture. Might wanna hold on the procs, although you are only paying about $95 for the 1700+ in this deal.

you can't return just the mobo part of a combo yourself, but you can give it "as a gift" to someone else and they can return it either for store credit or credit back to the purchasing credit card at the combo-discount-adjusted-price. speaking from experience.

I still like my AMD Athlon XP 1700+ with Shuttle AK31A for $169 better.
