I have windows Xp pro and windows Xp x64.
I have come acrross that microsoft had launch the windows xp empeded series that allow to boot from a read only devise.
So far i download the servise pack 2007 for windows xo empeded. to access the files that are mainly the diference to plain xp.
i took and succesfully intialized the ewf to the xp 32 bit version.
if i am not mistaken when you initialize the ewf windows no longer write to the disk but they use the ram to keep any changes that would originally occur to disk??
i coppy all the files to an sd card which i made bootable. i have an addonics sata reader that shows the cards as fixed drives (xp hates a lot removable lol)
so i boot my computer fromt the sd and in windows logon screen computer freeze. i restart again from sd and press f8 to enter safe mode which i can.
so my question is what i miss to make the installation to boot from a read only place??
