XP x64 SP2

I came across some articles speaking about a beta of SP2 for Server 2003 and XP x64, which is supposed to be released in the last half of this year. Since there's not much left of the year, it should be out soon. It's not clear to me exactly what to expect, because the jargon is egnimatic to me, but it sounded like that it might make this OS compatable with Vista x64 apps. If that is true, I will welcome it, because there is already more available for Vista than x64, even though Vista is still beta. Does anyone know anything about this?

I have never dealt with a service pack, how do you get it...buy it, download it or what?

You'd download it once it's available. I've got it, I'm a beta tester. Not much to report on, it's mostly a rollup package consisting of all previous update and a few other minor tweaks. Don't get too antsy waiting for it, you'll be disappointed otherwise.

I'll take your word for it. But since you are testing it, maybe you can tell me if Vista programs and drivers are compatable with it?
