XP vs 2000

So folks, my new computer is nearly built. Now I must decide what OS to use as 98SE really isnt gonna look good on my new top of the line system.

Ill make it simple, with the same hardware/drivers will XP perform better than 2000 pro in games? I have 2000 and would rather not get XP, but If its a big difference ill snag a copy some way. Any information would be appreciated as I have no access to XP to test for myself.

2000 and XP are almost identical. XP has slightly better support for newer drivers and games, but I haven't found any game or piece of hardware that's come out in the past 3-4 years that won't work in 2000 or XP And the peformance difference is negligible

If you've already got 2000, don't bother spending the money on XP, but if you were to be buying either, then I would go for XP
