The only reason I'm using it is because I need to learn it so I know what to say if someone has a question about it. If I could I would go to Win2k because XP can't read any of the files on my Plextor 24X when there is really a CD in. It burns files fine though.

i dual booted my laptop with win2k and xp thinking that i might need win2k for any apps that didn't work well in xp. so far no problems, so i have not booted into win2k in a couple weeks. i really like the fact that xp boots so much faster than 2k and i actually find xp much more aesthetically pleasing than 2k. i still have my servers as 2k but i'm slowly moving my workstations over to xp. i don't have many peripherals or "unique" components so i haven't had any driver issues.

ymmv,

I went back. Had it not been for a few annoyance with this particular rig I would have kept XP. I do use it on my other computer however.
