XP User Account Problem

I am using windows XP with only 1 account enabled (me..admisitrator) at the welcome screen (have it enabled so brothers cant get it) i type in my password, and it hesitates for around 30 seconds, and it seems as tho it is actually creating a TEMP user account, even tho i am loggin in under my "Mike" name....it re-creates this temporary Account everytime i have to restart or shutdown and i have to re-do my icons, display settings..etc..very very very annoying...

It looks like your account is corrupted. try restoring to a preivious time.

how do I check the event logs?

and do you mean a System restore? because i disabled that feature..

yeah i mean system restore. I guess you have to create a new user and do all of your settings over. It happend to me a couple of times.
