XP Uninstall Problem

I recently upgraded from win98 to winXP by actually upgrading, not doing a fresh install. I had Nero installed before the install. After the upgrade, when i ran outlook it asked me to insert the office cd, then i did, and it worked fine. Nero also asked me to insert the Nero cd, but when i did, it said "older version detected" and i can't figure out how to get the new version to work. It is not in add/remove programs, nor can i just install it anyway.

any suggestions?

dl a patch to see if that clears it up.

or you can just delete the directory nero's in, and remove the registry entries by hand. then reinstall it.
