XP Standard Display Adaptors: Where?

With 98SE, I always switched the display adaptor to the standard windows VGA adaptor before uninstalling video drivers prior to installing new video drivers.

I can't find a menu in XP to select default windows display adaptor(s).

How is this done in XP?

It's in the Advanced button on the Settings tab. Then click the adapter tab and click Properties and you can uninstall the drivers. This is pretty much a long path to reach the Device Manager entry for the video card.

There's really no need to switch to the VGA drivers manually. During the uninstall routine, the old drivers are completely deleted, so when Windows boots up it automatically will detect it and install the default drivers. If your drivers don't actually have an uninstall routine, then you'd have to do it manually.
