That's weird. You'd think that MajorGeeks would know better than to host a Microsoft Service Pack, even if it is just a Release Candidate.

Canterwood.....I installed it on a work computer I had just reinstalled the OS (XP Pro SP1). I didn't have much chance to check it out. If you can see any difference, please report.

The only thing I saw....the security center recognized AVG anti-virus program and said it needed to be updated. Never saw that with SP2....that's about it.

Will put it on my test rig and see how it goes.

Strangely the readme and faq files from the extracted file are for SP2.

Basically all it does is roll up all the updates since SP2 - and that is a lot!

My AVG has always shown up in SP2's Security Center. That's not new.
