XP SP2

I installed McAfee 8.0 after SP2 and it won't let me download the updates. It says Activ-X has been disabled and I need to download it. I tried and it still doesn't work. This seems to be the only problem I have, and I can't find a fix on McAfee's site. Any ideas?

check your Active X security settings in IE

tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom Level

btw, why does mcafee need active x in order to download updates? you update thru th webbrowser?

mcafee sucks. thats why sp2 killed it.

Did yu try turning off the firewall?
