XP slow down when Router added to network

I just got a Wireless G router and now that I have my desktop hooked up to the router, it takes so much longer to boot. It waits as that blue welcome screen up to 3 minutes sometimes. I am running XP Pro and all the machines on the network have static IP addresses.

Any ideas?
