XP --> Running Programs under different users. HELP!!

Here is my difficulty:

I installed Jedi Knight 2 on my computer, but my rooomie wants to play on it. I enabled the guest account in XP, but it would not let him run or install the program. I gave him a limited account, but the same difficulty arises.

I need to know how to do one of two options, if they are possible:

1) Can I enable an administrator account that cannot change the password to my main account?

2) How can I get JK2 to run in the limited account?

Thanks in advance! The pursuit of happiness must march on!

You don't need to install it again. JK2 is a new game, I'm suprised it didn't offer you the option of installing it for "all users" on the machine. I bought and installed Dungeon Siege the other day and it did that. Nice option.

Anyhow, is this XP Pro or Home? And is it an NTFS or FAT32 install?

Assuming it's NTFS, here's what you do.

Go into your profile under Documents and Settings\Your Account Name\Desktop and cut the shortcut from there. Navigate to the Documents and Settings\All Users\Desktop and paste it in there.

Now, you need to go to the Tools menu (up on top) and select Folder options. Select the view tab, and then look for the option called "Use Simple File Sharing". Ensure that it is unchecked.

Now navigate to the root folder of the game. Right click it and select properties, then the Security tab.
Add in your roomie's user account (it can be a limited account, no worries). Give him Full control permissions, and ensure that the permissions propogate down the rest of the Game's folder tree (it should happen automatically).

That should do it.
