XP repair installation: unregmp2.exe - Entry Point Not Found error

I am doing a repair installation of Windows XP Pro. It will not let me past this error:

unregmp2.exe - Entry Point Not Found error
The procedure entry point GetIUMS could not be located in the dynamic link library MSDART.DLL.

What can/do I do?

what happend so that you need to repair? By repair, you mean booting to the cd, pressing enter to install xp, then choosing R to repair? As for that error, it's definetly a new one to me, is this with a real XP disc?

Yeah, I did exactly that.

It is an official XP disc that I ordered from Microsoft.
