Xp repair asks for Admin password but i never set one?

The reason why it asks for a password is because there is an administrator account on the machine in both xp home and pro. If it is xp home, there is ususally no passwork so leave it blank and hit Enter
XP Pro usually asks you to set on during install or you can set one after.

I believe there was a problem with XP home. It would ask for a password that did not exist. It was supposedly fixed with SP1. I don't remember if there was a work around.
