*XP* Read the FAQ, but PC does not shut down. Also DVD Problems

Rather than shutting down, my computer tells me that it's safe to shut down. How do I get it to shut down completely?


Also.

in PowerDVD, my rig (see sig), does not display full screen DVD.

Any suggestions?

I had the same problem with my asus p2b bios version 6 which is not acpi compliant. Xp recognized the pc as standard pc instead of acpi pc. After I flash with version 12 then I need to reinstall Xp to make it sees the newer acpi compliant bios. My system shutdowns with no problem after that. Hope the info will help.

Apply the XP patch for PowerDVD.
